It's my brothers birthday. Too bad he was driving through Illinois and not here in Los Angeles enjoying a fine fall day that included sun, temps in the sensible seventies, and crickets. There aren't many bugs here. They don't hang out a lot because the seasons are too subtle to know when you are supposed to be indoors or outdoors or whatever doors exoskeletons are concerned with. So instead you have your nighttime bugs and you daytime bugs and then you have your pests like cockroaches and junkmailers. Spiders make new webs on my back porch nightly and I don't mind. Like the kind Los Angeles son, I love and shine upon all creatures great and small.
