I was going to restrain myself from using too many baseball analogies for this weather project. But since a dark cloud fell on LA, both literally and baseballically, I feel that there is precious time left to write sports related weather reports. It should be justification enough that over 60 percent of my american slang dictionary is baseball terms. You cannot talk about anything in the human experience without being on or off base, or covering your bases, or hitting someone in the wheelhouse.

And who knows? Maybe the same miracle that brought our city the gray chill today, will bring us the winds of post season play!
